Manchester City have allowed
Robinho to join Santos on loan, making it almost certain their record signing will never kick another ball for them.
In a short statement on their website, City effectively declared their £32.5million investment in the temperamental forward a failure by allowing him to join his former club until August.
The Brazilian club will pay the strikerâs wages and bonuses for the period, which lasts until August 4.
